Despite marking her most controversial and polarizing era yet, ‘Scarlet‘ – the latest from rapstress Doja Cat – has still managed to weave a web of buzz that’s made it one of the year’s most highly anticipated efforts.
Led by the top 40 hit ‘Attention,’ the 15-track project’s true claim to fame is the Hot 100-topping ‘Paint the Town Red‘ – which not only comes as a career first (her inaugural solo chart-topper) but uniquely owns the title for being the 2023’s first Hip-Hop holder of the tally’s top spot.
Undoubtedly hoping that response is mirrrored for its parent set, ‘Scarlet’ crawls to chart battle on the wings of additional supportive singles ‘Demons’ and an accompanying music video for the LP’s cut ‘Agora Hills.’
“Front seat chillin with the window down / I be ten toes down on the dash, getting fast food / Hope you can handle the heat / Put your name in the streets / Get used to my fans looking at you,” she raps in the Hannah Lux Davis-directed clip.

She did her thang, give credit where credit is due, to say she had no writers is epic. Even Nicki uses writers for chorus’s and hooks sometimes so it’s a great achievement for her. Agora Hills on repeat

Production and vibes are great. Lyricism is lacking in a lot of places overall I enjoy the album! I respect that she’s doing something different. Lots of replay value.
I can’t see myself listening to or praising somebody who is an open Satanist. Demon Puss can drop as many albums as she wants. I’ll never pick any of them up. Bye, girl.

Scarlet is a good album on first listen but the hype didn’t help it cause her team put out all the standouts already
